Frequently Asked Questions and Studio Policies
Do I have to be an artist to sign up for a class?
Absolutely not! We encourage everyone, regardless of artistic talent, to register for one of our classes. We don't do fine art at Downtown Art Factory - we create. Our motto is simple - "Create Something. It might suck, but who cares." All of our classes are perfect for beginners!
What kind of classes do you offer?
Most of our classes are for acrylic pour painting and wood signs. You can check out our calendar here. In addition, we offer crafts and special DIY project classes, too.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes we do. You can purchase a gift certificate online here or visit our shop at 705 Lucerne Avenue, Lake Worth, FL 33460.
What is the price?
Generally, acrylic pour classes are $30 per person and wood sign workshops are $25 - $60 per person. We run promotions and discounts frequently, so be sure to check us out on Facebook or subscribe to our email list.
What is open studio?
We have worked open studio into our schedule daily from 10am - 2pm. BYOM (bring your own materials) and rent our studio space for $5 per hour. Sure is better than making a mess at your home! If you don't have your own materials, you can purchase a canvas and use our supplies for $15 (which includes up to 4 hours of studio time).
Can I book a private event?
Absolutely! We would love to host your next event. Please contact us at (561) 303-9051 to find out how we can make your event truly memorable for you and your guests.
I am an instructor. Can I teach my classes in your studio?
Yes! We love all types of art and anything that fosters creativity. We have four 8-foot tables and also four large workbenches. Contact us today for more information.
What is your food and drink policy?
You are welcome to bring beer, wine and other beverages, as well as snacks, to your class. Don't worry if you forget to bring something. We have a variety of beverages and snacks for purchase here.
What are the safety policies?
During some of our classes, you may use power drills, hammers, screw drivers, nails, low VOC stain, and/or other potentially harmful materials. By registering for a class, you agree to follow all written and oral safety precautions, rules, and directions from Downtown Art Factory staff. In addition, you assume full responsibility for personal injury to yourself and/or your belongings.
